A speedy recovery is generally considered a good thing. Whether from exercise, injury, or overindulging in green chili, a quick recovery can get you back on your feet and productive once again. Specifically in terms of exercise, it’s during recovery that our bodies heal from the previous workout/punishment and adapt to the workout stimulus. If all you do is train, train, train, without recovering, you don’t get faster, stronger, whatever – you just get more and more tired.
